What Personal Data Do We Collect and Why?
Yogasphere collects personal data to help improve the services we offer to you, our clients. When you create a Yogasphere account or sign up to a class, we require the following information:
- Your name
- Email address
- Telephone number
- Postal address
- Next of kin
- A brief personal health and injury history to ensure the safe practice of yoga in any of our classes. We may also request further information from you, such as your preferences and interests, to better understand your needs and to improve the services offered.
Yogasphere use your data to ensure you are receiving relevant information, specific to your account and preferences, including:
- Operational emails such as class booking confirmations, payment receipts and account information e.g. forgotten login information.
- Yogasphere email newsletters about new products, special offers or other information that we think you may find interesting such as upcoming workshops, events or yoga retreats. From time to time, we may also contact our loyal Yogasphere clients by email or phone as part of our ‘Membership Check-Ins’ or to obtain class satisfaction feedback. This data will only be used to improve the services we offer.
Where Is My Information Stored?
All of your personal data is stored in your Yogasphere account, within our booking software, and enables you to book classes and, if you have chosen to opt in, receive email notifications, reminders and newsletters. If you have opted in to receiving marketing email correspondence, your name and email address are also securely stored within our email distribution software, as part of our mailing list. Any data collected for class bookings made through an outside party (i.e. ClassPass), will only be used to fulfill the booking reservation or usage related communication and will not be processed for any other purpose.
We do not share your data with any third parties. We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
Controlling Your Personal Data
You are free to unsubscribe from Yogasphere marketing emails at any time. To do so, simply click the ‘unsubscribe’ button provided at the bottom of each email, or by accessing your Yogasphere account and updating your communication preferences. You may request details of the personal data we hold about you under the General Data Protection Regulation 2018, to request access to your data, please do so in writing to email@example.com. We will only keep your data for as long as necessary or for as long as we are legally required by law.
We receive, collect and store any information you enter on our website or provide us in any other way. In addition, we collect the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet; login; e-mail address; password; computer and connection information and purchase history. We may use software tools to measure and collect session information, including page response times, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information, and methods used to browse away from the page. We also collect personally identifiable information (including name, email, password, communications); secure payment details (including credit card information), comments, feedback, product reviews, recommendations, and personal profile. This enables a seamless experience through your online account and your Yogasphere app to make bookings and make purchases easily.
When you conduct a transaction on our website, as part of the process, we collect personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address.
We collect such Non-personal and Personal Information for the following purposes:
To provide and operate the Services; To provide our Users with ongoing customer assistance and technical support; To be able to contact our Visitors and Users with general or personalised service-related notices and promotional messages; To create aggregated statistical data and other aggregated and/or inferred Non-personal Information, which we or our business partners may use to provide and improve our respective services; To comply with any applicable laws and regulations as set by GDPR.
Our company is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to showcase, sell our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall. All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and Mindbody online.com are used by our company adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.
